Stopped by for some pastries! Got char sui and ham & cheese croissant. They warm to order! The char sui was sweet and the croissant was quite savory and flaky with sesame and poppy seeds. Some dining tables in front and sometimes there are pop ups from other bakeries here. Be aware of a 4% health fee on ticket.

They really make the most amazing croissants! You can really feel the layers in the pastries and the flavour profiles are also great. The char siu croissant is made to perfection and I would always go back for it. Careful when transporting it if you're take it to go though, because the oil will probably leak from the paper bag. The everything croissant is a great close second.

This might just be my favorite bakery in San Francisco, especially the pastries in collaboration with Sunday Bakeshop Love when pastries are creative and embrace an Asian-inspired flair, and these were truly amazing. I was able to try the Char Siu Croissant, Brown Butter Chocolate chip Cookie, Red Velvet White Chocolate Cookie, Ube Snickerdoodle Cookie, Cocoa Nib Brownie, Milk Tea Blondie, Black Sesame Rice Crispy, Furikake Chex Mis, Pandan Coconut Caramel Corn, as well as a few others like a Ginger Apple pastry, a Berry Jam-filled Croissant. I brought these to a soccer game, and they were SUCH a hit with everyone raving about them. I had come by just for pickup, and there was a fairly long line, which is a good sign!! Hopefully will be able to come back soon to try more of their delectable goodies soon.

My boyfriend and I came at around 9 am on Friday morning, and the line was very short. We waited just a few minutes to order the pastries. Service was quick obviously since they were already baked. The shop was small with the cafe on the left and no indoor seating. There are a few tables outside. We ordered 5 pastries: char siu croissant ($6.75), ham and cheese croissant ($5.95), savory pull-apart ($6), ube twice-baked croissant ($6), and blueberry lemon muffin ($4.75). Everything was pretty good but not amazing; I've had better croissants, muffins, etc. The char siu croissant was very unique, a little too salty, and there was too much sauce that made the pastry underneath wet. The meat was tender, and pastry dough was flaky. The ham and cheese croissant was ok; there wasn't much ham or cheese really. I think the Starbucks one is better to be honest, but this one was still good. My favorite was the savory pull-apart and definitely savory. It was a tad salty, but the bread was soft and squishy, and the mixings of ham and peppers were delicious. Ube croissant was also very yummy and very sweet, too sweet to finish on my own. The ube paste filling was super tasty, and the baked custard top was great. Our least favorite was the blueberry lemon muffin that lacked both blueberries and lemon. There wasn't much blueberry in our muffin, the lemon flavor was lackluster, and the batter was kinda dry and crumbly. I found out that it's dairy-free so that is probably why they weren't as moist. I also ordered a pandan aerocano ($6.50) which was disappointing. I was so excited for the pandan flavor, and there was none. It just tasted like a plain sweetened nitro cold brew. Overall, we enjoyed the pastries and trying all the different ones. This is a solid bakery that serves decent and tasty pastries. None of the pastries we got were good enough for us to get again, but I'd return to try other ones and their bread loafs.

If you're a pastry lover, Neighbor Bakehouse in San Francisco is a must-visit! My recent experience there was nothing short of delightful. Here's why you should stop by: The Pastries: Neighbor Bakehouse offers an array of delicious and beautifully crafted pastries. During my visit, I tried the Strawberry Matcha Croissant and the Passion Fruit Cruffin. The Strawberry Matcha Croissant was a unique blend of flavors, with the sweet strawberry complementing the earthy matcha in perfect harmony. The Passion Fruit Cruffin was equally enticing, with its creamy passion fruit filling and delicate, flaky layers. Both pastries had the perfect balance of sweetness and texture, making each bite a moment of bliss. The Atmosphere: The bakehouse has a charming and cozy atmosphere, perfect for enjoying your treats on a sunny day. The outdoor seating area provides a great spot to relax and savor your pastries with a nice cup of coffee. Overall Experience: From the friendly staff to the exquisite pastries, everything about Neighbor Bakehouse is top-notch. Whether you're a local or just visiting San Francisco, make sure to add this gem to your list of foodie destinations. You won't be disappointed!

Delicious muffins (pandan flavor), ube croissant, and pound cake (?). Right amount of sweetness and I would totally recommend. The line is totally worth it!

Came by on a Saturday. I made sure I preordered my goods through the ChowNow app shortly after 9am. It was ready in under 20 mins. When I arrived there was about 8 others in line without a preorder so I saved a bit of time not waiting. Ordered the following: Strawberry matcha croissant bun 9/10 - huge bun! Good balance of matcha to strawberry sweetness with bits of passion fruit Twice baked Ube croissant 8/10 - not enough Ube flavor, but flakey croissant overall Milk tea blondie 8/10 - very little milk tea flavor, but overall a good blondie Ube cookie 8/10 - big cookie! But very little Ube flavor They offer some baked goods from Sunday Bakeshop in Oakland so part of this review is for them. Overall I would definitely return to try their other pastries. I like that they try different flavors of the classics, they just need a bit more.

3.5 stars but rounded up because friendly staff, great ambiance, and great pastries / bevies :) Getting there: this bakery is super accessible and 30 seconds away from the T muni stop and located near the UCSF campus which made for a nice little walk back home. The bevies: we got the Thai tea and a regular latte. The Thai tea was good but the foam was a little too sweet for my liking and didn't match well with the tea (and lots of ice in the drink). The latte was great but a little milky. Overall the drinks were good but definitely pricy considering they're quite small cups. Pastries: we ordered the "All savory" pastry and the ube almond croissant. We enjoyed the pastries at home so we got heat up the savory pastry in the air fryer (which I highly recommend). The pastry was good but everything was concentrated at the top and there was no filling in the actual pastry (barely saw any ham pieces or cheese inside the pastry). The ube almond croissant was good but definitely on the sweeter side and quite heavy. The staff was friendly and joking around with each other which made it feel like a very family and wholesome environment. There is no indoor seating and limited seating outside so we took our order to go.

the staff are super friendly and recommended me their favorites. I got the strawberry matcha croissant which was light and flaky inside with the perfect amount of filling and generous toppings. I can tell it was made with high quality butter as it held together well without breaking into a greasy mess. it also wasn't too sweet and was complemented by the tanginess of the strawberry cream. the financier was not dry and still soft despite being buckwheat based. the menu is super exciting and I will definitely be back to try other pastries (especially the Sunday menu)
